Application information

The Wonderdrill was designed and engineered to cut on contact with a positive hook which draws the fiberglass fibers into the cutting tip for a smooth and clean hole. Unlike the conventional carbide tipped twist drill, there is no excessive fluting which gives this drill added strength, rigidity and accuracy. The tip will not scrape in the center of the drill point and push the fibers of the fiberglass out resulting in a furry and undersized hole.
The Wonderdrill cutter tip is made from Micro-Grain Carbide DG-106, much stronger and has an unusually tough (350,000 psi) transverse rupture strength. This grade of carbide produces a much finer and sharper cutting edge and out performs regular Grade C-2 Carbide four times.
